VAPING BLUES (JAN 2019)

One way to start

is to present myself

finished; Powering down

in processing Progress has

slowed to a single function

Transition is rewinding

A new entry is starting A new form-

One way to finish

is to present myself alive

Anew; Transfigured and transformed

Tarnished, true, but worn and alive

Rebuilt Refitted and upholstered, maybe with holster

A reliable shroud, tattered in my years

Cloak woven of blood and tears

A shadow to the world

These fangs haven’t worn down or retired

Stare into these eyes and you can see a fire

Scream Phoenix

I’m taking it back to love and funeral pyres

You know they put that hex on me

Tried to manipulate my reality

Broke up my family, Told lies one me

Yes I’m a dead man, for sure, I died

Yeah I did all that, it was necessary

Fresh from the afterlife

The moon and the stars

The sun sets over the sea

Don’t gotta worry anymore about me

Vaping the blues in the moonlight

No devil, but the man, no devil but the man

Smashing mountains with things from manmade hands

Dying for a newer testament,

Independence is the touch of death,

The Old American Curse

Pluck the jewel from the skull

I was in school asking for brains

undead knowledge transcends time

defies textbook scholarship

The dropout boogie in the bar

Getting street smarts, Straight X’s

Minor and Major Arcana Bodhisattva

Third eye Justified Heart Lucid meditator
