Text Message Poem August 16, 2019

An illumination flashes in the dark What source calls out to reveal the concealed? Stirring in the darkness Skilled with hands inside the void What are eyes for while they rest in grasping hands? Revealing what was touched sensed Faculties rise to new sensational phenomena Did you see that?

I stir like branches in the wind I’ve lost all my leaves They will grow again perhaps or perhaps not I will grow some more with or without a leaf dancing on my limbs until I am covered by them all one day no more

Even as being no more I will feel out of place because there is no place for the constantly moving active awareness Watching the world in its moments and events passing through time and person I sense them all wishing for more in a world that promises possibilities but never really delivers Yearning for more for more and the cups run over with ill conceived substances enduring and sad without nourishment or truth Adapting to poison will not outlive the world and it’s unknown sadness

Eating reality is a long equation I calculated and working it’s algorithm for substance and truth Dreams exist outside of reality as hope hopeless and enduring its own futility in exhausted ecstasy There are no longer highs or lows just lull and bypassed Broken reflections begging for a surface ironed and smoothed out to shine in the light Instead a sound bends in the air and gravity vibrates invisibly
